Everyone’s Favorite Knight-in-Training Makes a Special Appearance April 20
Irwindale, CA (April 4, 2013)—Mike the Knight™ will be making a special trip from his kingdom of Glendragon to visit his fans at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire on April 20, in time to celebrate their 51
st Anniversary season. The young knight-in-training will be at the Faire for meet and greets,
Mike the Knight storytelling and giveaways throughout the day. Signage at the Faire will direct visitors to the specific area where meet and greets take place.
Mike the Knight is a brand new CG-animated preschool series that invites viewers into a fantastical world of castles, quests, dragons and trolls, and centers on Mike, a young knight-in-training, with a bright future ahead of him. The son of the King and Queen of Glendragon, he is determined to follow in his father’s footsteps to become a brave and noble knight. Co-produced by HIT Entertainment and Nelvana, the series currently airs on Nick Jr., Monday-Saturday, from 7-8pm. Additionally, a book line featuring
Mike the Knight was
just released from Simon & Schuster and an all-new toy line from Fisher-Price will debut in May.
The Renaissance Pleasure Faire, where fantasy rules and whimsical delights take flight, allows attendees to immerse themselves in a village of more than 1,200 costumed performers and artisans that in addition to
Mike the Knight, will include dazzling acrobats, internationally acclaimed musicians and entertainers, juggling jokers and jesters. Complete with 16
th century games, rides, arts, crafts, food, music and dance, the event recreates the celebratory spring day in 1574 when the world arrived to entertain Queen Elizabeth in the English Seaport of Deptford.
Located in Irwindale, CA at 15501 East Arrow Highway, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire will be open rain or shine, 10am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children age five to 12. Children four and under can attend for free. Tickets are available for purchase at
